The hijackers crashed two of the airliners (United Airlines public life 175 and American Airlines escape cock 11) into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower and resulting in the collapse of both buildings soon afterward. A nearby church and the rest of the World Trade Center complexs 7 buildings were also destroyed or damaged beyond repair.
